Snap Dragons
Snap Dragons are beautiful garden plants that come in such a selection of beautiful colours of reds, pinks,yellows, whites and oranges. they grow between 18- 24 inches in height. They are called snap dragons because children would run to them and pinch the tiny individual blossoms and make the "dragon mouth" open and close. Native to the Mediterranean region these brightly coloured flowers are not only beautiful summer flowers but they are fairly easy to look after and maintain. There are dwalf type snap dragons that also can be used for pots and small gardens. The snap dragon needs full sunlight and well fertilized and well drained soil to grow. The flowers are known for attracting butterflies. |
