| The Goldenrod is a stricking yellow flower that is usually found growing in fields and meadows and usually because of the stricking colour it gives the impression of a blanket of yellow. This is the flower that commonly gets blamed for the causes of hayfever, however the reason being is that goldenrod is confused with ragweed that grows the same time as goldenrod. But goldenrod produces pollen that is far too sticky and heavy to become airborne. The plant likes well drained soil and full sunlight. The golden rod attracts a lot of wildlife probably due to its scent and colour. These include butterflies, bees and many insects. |
