Evening Primrose Evening Primrose is a popular and common known flower, however it is more known for healing remedies (which help treat asthmatic coughs, gastro-intestinal disorders and many other health realted problems) and oil that is used to treat Premenstrual syndrome. The flower is native to North and South America and comes from the Onagraceae family. The scented flower grows up to 10 cm tall and the commonly comes in a pale yellow, however few come in pinks, whites and purples. The fruit from the plant holds a capsule full of tiny red seeds which is where the oil comes from. Evening Primrose gets its name because the flowers open in the evening time. |
