Cherry Tomatoes

Cherry Tomatoes are smaller than a standard tomato and have a slightly sweeter taste to them. Just like standard tomatoes they are excellent in salads and combined with lettuce and cucumber in a sandwich. They are used in many Greek and Spanish dishes and also occasionally used in a pizza topping. They are easy to grow and need planty of sunlight and watering.

In 1500's all tomatos were considered as poisonous the reason for this is because those with money had plates made of pewter which food with high acid content caused some of the lead to leach onto the food, causing lead poisoning. This happened mostly with tomatos and therefore it was the vegetable that was thought of being the poison
