Celeriac
The celeriac is a rooted vegetable which is a type of celery that looks very similar to a brown potato it can be eatern raw or cooked and is used in many stews, salads and many casseroles. Native to europe and has been used ever since ancient times but was believed to firstly to be cultivated in the seventeeth century.
Growing Celeriac is simple they need to start off in minimum temperature of 10C (60F) where they are grow harder before planting them outside where they are very sensitive to the cold. They should be planted out at the end of May/early June if the weather is cold the planting should be therefore delayed until weather gets warmer. Plant out 30cm apart in rows 40-45cm apart making sure not to bury the crown - the stem base should be at soil level. Need regular watering.
