Carrots

Carrots are a very popular vegetable that can be eaten raw as well as cooked, steamed or roasted. Are excellent chopped up in salads or combined with other vegetables and even used in soups, stews and along side cabbage make coldslaw. The carrot is an orange rooted vegetable that is native to Afghanistan where it was black, purple, red, yellow and green everything but the colour orange which it is today.
