Broccoli

The vegetable Broccoliis believed to be native to Italy and is considered as one of the best vegetables to eat, it comes from the Brassicaceae family along side with the cabbages. A striking deep green vegetable that looks like a small tree and when is cut up it smaller parts which look like even smaller trees. Broccoli contains many vitamins and has been found to contain the chemical I3C which is one of the many things that research has found that prevents cancer.

Broccoli is easy and simple to grow, firstly sow the seed about 7cm apart in a lines which are about 2 feet apart. The seeds need to be sown in about 1.5cm deep in watered crumbly soil. In dry and hot weather make sure that they are watered well.
