The Angelica Plant
There are about thirty species of Angelica around the world and they live in cold and moist places like lapland, Iceland and parts of Scotland.The Angelica plant is seen as a healing plant with many unusual features. The Angelica plant takes up to three years to flower and grows best in a moisted shadey area. It with- holds itself through strong winter frosts and the its worst enemy is a small twowinged fly which can really cause it some damage. The Angelica has thick roots and stems of this plant grow from 4-6 feet in length which holds a yellow and greenish flower
which blossoms in the month of July and produces long oblong shaped fruits. Did you know that tha Anglicia is used for many things for example their stems are used for flavourings in liqueurs and their roots have been used for medicians for many years through time. The fruits are sold across the world and used in recipes for many different foods.
