The Alcea Rosea otherwise known as the 'Hollyhock' plant is a tall and fast growing garden plant which reaches between 4-8 feet in height. Remember that the Alcea Rosea plant flowers the second year from planting. This plant comes in a range of beautiful colours from white, reds, lilacs, range of pinks and black. This plant needs full sunlight and mainly blooms in the garden between the months July - August. A beautiful garden plant that no dout will look nice as a background feature in a display in your garden.
Although the Alcea Rosea plant blooms well and is a popular favourite it is a short life plant and is susceptible to rust and other diseases such as leaf spot.
